Population growth: an asset or a liability?

Baby boom has led to one major economic problem, overpopulation. Subjective consequences of Population growth rely on the diversified status of every family, society and country. As of June 2010, the human population of the world is estimated by the United States Census Bureau to be 6,824,900,000 compared to the 2009 United Nations estimated Earth's human population to be 6,800,000,000. Population is not always a liability.

The rapid increase in population has raised a lot of issues such as food consumption, increased usage of resources and threats to ecosystem such as pollution. According to Karl Marx, the appropriate method to deal with the population-resource relationship is essentially holistic. The system should be internally dynamic to produce new operational methods, concepts, and categories to properly deal with population-resource imbalances. How many people should there be? If we would set china as an example which has 1,337,860,000 this comprises 19.6% of the total global population. The predicated problems such as poverty, unemployment, education, pollution and health are not the concerning issues. China has proved the effectiveness of Karl Marx’s theory of population on Capitalism. But if China has surpassed these, the total land area can’t be maximized for agriculture instead china resorted to technology using the intellectual quantity of the population which is in a fact a wise resolution. Basing on these facts, the number of population should be identified together with the land capacity for inhabitants, economic sustenance and good governance. Without these, the big amount of work force will be a liability.
